Dr. Peirce offers a variety of services in three main areas: 1) Educational/Career Counselling, 2) Peer Helper development programs, and 3) Educational Administration Consulting. Descriptions of various services are explained below. Dr. Peirce conducts workshops, retreats and training sessions in all of these areas.

Peer Helper Training

When adolescents seek support for many of the typical life situations they face, they often approach their peers rather than seeking adult support systems which may already be in place. Youth of today tend to be energetic, positive and are extremely well positioned to support others in their peer groups. Peer helping or peer counseling programs can serve as an extremely effective support system in their community. Through inexpensive and purposeful training, young people can be provided with the opportunity to provide an effective and efficient resource and support to those people in a community responsible for the well-being of today’s youth. <Read more> |

Effective peer helper programs require effective facilitators to ensure appropriate training and support for adolescents working to support their peers. Post-Secondary Decision-Making Presentations

The key ingredient to a successful post-secondary educational career involves choosing an institution which is well suited for the student. A university which is good for one student may be disastrous for another. Good decisions, including post-secondary decisions, are best made by following a process ensuring that all the bases are covered. Dr. Peirce conduct presentations educating students and parents about a simple but appropriate methodology for making the critical post-secondary educational decision. Much of Dr. Peirce’s education and counseling career has focused on educational decision making. He has a great deal of experience working with students applying to Canadian, American and British universities. His approach focuses on teaching his clients how to effectively research and make their decisions as well as how to best represent themselves on their applications. |
Career Counselling & Résumé Design |
Effective career decision making involves knowing oneself and understanding how aptitude, personality, interests and values impact career satisfaction. Dr. Peirce works with clients enabling them to be introspective and aware as they consider their potential career path. |
Educational Administration Consulting |
Dr. Peirce has extensive educational administrative experience in policy implementation, strategic planning, faculty and departmental evaluation, evaluation methods, curriculum planning and support services. He provides advice and support to clients who are implementing change within their institutions. |
