All applicants must submit a visual portfolio, admissions essay, academic transcripts and application fee. All high school applicants must have completed Grade 12 (or the highest grade level required for secondary graduation) with an average of 65% or higher including a minimum grade of 70% in Grade 12 English. Ontario high school applicants must have completed grade 12 with an overall average of 65% or higher including any combination of 12U (university), or 12 U/C (university/college) courses including a minimum grade of 70% in a 12U English. Successful completion of 5 Academic/University Preparatory grade 12 courses is required with a minimum overall average of 70%. To view a list of specific acceptable courses by province, please visit our website. Arts: English; 1 Social Studies or Language; and 3 academic courses from any area. (Grade 12 Math is strongly recommended for maximum program flexibility). Science: English; Math; 2 Sciences; 1 elective. At least 1 year of senior level Chemistry is required. Business: English; Math; 2 from Sciences, Social Sciences or Languages; 1 elective. Nursing: English; Math; Chemistry; Biology; plus 1 elective. A 70% average is required as well as 65% on each of English, Math, Biology & Chemistry. Application deadline is January 15th for Nursing. For Arts, Science and Business the deadline is August 1st. A processing fee of $50.00 is required for all undergraduate programs. Ontario Math Notes: The changes to Ontario math do not appear to impact admission to UPEI. |
