Non-Ontario Admission Requirements

Here are some samples showing the information layout for the entrance requirements for universities located outside Ontario.

All applicants must submit a visual portfolio, admissions essay, academic transcripts and application fee. All high school applicants must have completed Grade 12 (or the highest grade level required for secondary graduation) with an average of 65% or higher including a minimum grade of 70% in Grade 12 English. Ontario high school applicants must have completed grade 12 with an overall average of 65% or higher including any combination of 12U (university), or 12 U/C (university/college) courses including a minimum grade of 70% in a 12U English. Ontario Math Notes: NSCAD’s programs have no math requirement.	March 15^th early application / scholarship deadline or May 15 final application deadline. Applicants must arrange for interim transcripts of their final year to be received directly from issuing institutions as well as final transcripts from previous high school years.	The university does not have dormitories. Arrangements may be made with Dalhousie University once a candidate has been admitted to the university.	Minimum – 577 (PBT) or 233 (CBT) or 90-91 (iBT)

Successful completion of 5 Academic/University Preparatory grade 12 courses is required with a minimum overall average of 70%. To view a list of specific acceptable courses by province, please visit our website. Arts: English; 1 Social Studies or Language; and 3 academic courses from any area. (Grade 12 Math is strongly recommended for maximum program flexibility). Science: English; Math; 2 Sciences; 1 elective. At least 1 year of senior level Chemistry is required. Business: English; Math; 2 from Sciences, Social Sciences or Languages; 1 elective. Nursing: English; Math; Chemistry; Biology; plus 1 elective. A 70% average is required as well as 65% on each of English, Math, Biology & Chemistry. Application deadline is January 15^th for Nursing. For Arts, Science and Business the deadline is August 1^st. A processing fee of $50.00 is required for all undergraduate programs. Ontario Math Notes: The changes to Ontario math do not appear to impact admission to UPEI.	Apply in Jan. / Feb. when first term/semester marks are available. A conditional acceptance is possible for qualified applicants.
